According to Media Week Instagram is partnering up with Omnicom media to roll out adverts onto the popular social networking platform. This is an exciting new development into online adversing through social media, as so many people use the app to take pictures of anything from their food to their new outfits, so what a great way for big brands to target their consumers.
According to Rupert Ellwood, head of marketing communications at Waitrose, said: “We know our customers enjoy sharing their love of food. Instagram is where people go to capture and share moments so it is the perfect place for us to engage the community around our love of food #LoveFood.”
